First lie on your back. You can opt for a towel or a mat to cushion your spine. Now bend both knees up to you chest until your thigh touches your stomach. Next, hug your knees in place and lock your fingers. Then lift up your head until your nose touches your knees. Take a deep breath and hold this position for thirty seconds. Now slowly release and lower yourself back to the starting position. You can also opt to do this exercise one leg at a time.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;Bhujangasan&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;For this exercise, you start by lying on your stomach. Next place your hands underneath your shoulders. Now, raise your upper body off the ground by using your back muscles. Raise yourself until your head is upright. You must make sure not to push with your hands, as you want your back muscles to do the work. Hold yourself in this position for about thirty seconds before slowly lowering yourself back to starting  position. Now in this exercise, even though you are making use of your back muscles to do all the work, this asana will help you to reduce your belly fat and helps to flatten your stomach.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;The Bow&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;This is somewhat similar to the previous asana. You start with lying on your stomach. The difference is that in addition to curling your legs upward, you will also lift you upper torso. First bend your knees so that your feet come towards your head. With both hands, grab your ankles and pull with your hands while at the same time pushing with your legs. Do this so that only your stomach is on the floor. You should feel like you're making a circle. Keep your knees together throughout. Now hold this position for thirty seconds and then slowly release and return to your starting position.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;Paad-Pashchimottanasan&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;Ok, this next asana is not as complicated as the name sounds. However, you do need to be flexible to be able to perform this asana. Start by lying  on your back and having your arms overhead and legs straight. Extend all your limbs. You are now straight from head to toe. Next place your palms flat pointing up to the ceiling, and put your hands together. Now, contract your stomach muscles so that you can sit up, while keeping your back straight and your heads still over your head. Then, bend forward and grab your toes, placing your head in between your arms. Your face will touch your knees.  &lt;p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;margin-right:19.5pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;margin-left:19.5pt'&gt;&lt;font size=2 color="#4b4b4b" face=Verdana&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Verdana;color:#4B4B4B'&gt;Well, It&amp;#8217;s not everyday I feel like doing the strenuous pull-ups, dips and burpees, and of course because I know one thing Yoga does is, it helps with a natural method of delaying the aging process.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt; Yoga has been preaching a healthy diet for thousands of years. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;margin-right:19.5pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;margin-left:19.5pt'&gt;&lt;font size=2 color="#4b4b4b" face=Verdana&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Verdana;color:#4B4B4B'&gt;Now for the last hurdle to anti-aging, fundamentalism, whether it is political, social, philosophical, or religious based, fundamentalism is based on intolerance. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;margin-right:19.5pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;margin-left:19.5pt'&gt;&lt;font size=2 color="#4b4b4b" face=Verdana&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Verdana;color:#4B4B4B'&gt;When we become part of the mob, we have been duped, and we lose our awareness. This is why fundamentalism has no place for Yoga. As you complete more cycles of the breathing, it becomes more rhythmic, and a harmony sets in between the mind and the body. Slow and rhythmic breathing, coupled with a mental chanting of some mantra like 'Om' done with complete self awareness, is the shield against the ripples of thought continuously emanating from the still waters of the mind. This can be done almost anywhere, even amidst a crowd, though ideally you should select a quiet place and sit cross-legged in the Sukhasana posture with your eyes closed gently.&lt;br /&gt;Another asana that heightens your self awareness and also give instant release from stress is Shavasana, the Corpse pose. In this exercise, you direct each part of the body to relax itself, by directing the consciousness to each of these parts. When the body is totally relaxed, the brain, though totally awake, is fully relaxed too. Avoid strenuous exercise in the late evenings as it can be stimulating. But if you exercise at any other time, you'll sleep better. It's OK to do long, slow stretches near bedtime, however, for they will release muscular tension and prepare you for sleep.&lt;br /&gt;Doing all the asanas with total body awareness and listening to our own thoughts would ultimately lead us to detach the 'I' in each of us from the body and mind and the clutch of emotions and feelings engulfing it. Yes yoga can help you lose weight. It will give you the discipline to maintain a healthy lifestyle, eliminate temptations to eat junk food and will help ease stress. Stress causes you to gain weight and reducing it might help you reduce your weight.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; How often should I do yoga? A good start would be to go for a 60 minute class twice a week. Join the two arms together and rest the hands on the floor, palms down with fingers pointing toward the toes. You may curve the fingers slightly. This facilitates balancing. Keep the hands firm. Now you have steady and firm forearms for supporting the whole body. Bring down the abdomen slowly against the conjoined elbows. Support your body on your elbows. Then stretch your legs. Inhale and raise the legs together from the floor. Raise the legs straight on a level with the head, parallel to the floor. Keep the posture steady for five seconds and then rest the toes on the floor and exhale. He boasted: "But I can't even hold downward facing dog for a minute?!"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, he now believes like many that without the flexibility, poise and strength that only Yoga (or admittedly its close relative can give...), one cannot truly attest to being fit!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So are you still on the fence...just give Yoga one shot and you, like Bryan will see why it NEEDS to be in your lifestyle...albeit little.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kick Butt and Take Names!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 13.5pt;"&gt;Article Posted By the Webmaster Foras Aje.
