Let's REALLY Address the Statistics about dieting



Friends, the statistics about dieting are well known and discouraging!

Do you know only about one-third of the patients who lose weight through the program at the Johns Hopkins Weight Management Center manage to keep at least half of it off for more than one year—and those figures reflect what is considered to be a relatively successful outcome in the weight-management field.

Why could this be the case guys?!

Well, when one really analyzes the statistics about dieting out there, it becomes obvious that perhaps the reason for the common failures with diets for weight loss might be that

1.Most people don't analyze and research the claims of a 'so-called' diet before signing on to do it.

2.Most people end up giving up to cravings while on a diet, thus defeating the whole purpose.

3.Most people tend to not exercise enough to complement the effects of their diets.

4.Heck, most of the diets simply don't work.


It's important to stay real when setting goals and assessing your current state.
The use of such things as weight loss dieting calendars and so-called quick weight loss programs, may not be the necessary answer friends.

When one really takes a closer look at the available statistics about dieting, it would be surprising to see that millions of Americans are on the band-wagon of 'trying to be thinner', with the noted obsession with weight loss dieting calendars and these same millions are perhaps going about the whole dieting process incorrectly, thus inflating the number of failures on a daily basis.

So, what does that tell us?

Healing and cleansing should be the focal point of any diet, not necessarily starving and harming the body and what's more, when done right, dieting can be rewarding and successful, but you may need to do the right research.

    Quite simply, it makes things actually harder.

    For the edification of my female readers, I'd like to stretch my research and blogging to cover the subject of how to control menopausal weight gain.

    But before we address the topic of exactly how to control menopausal weight gain, let's see what could cause weight gain after menopause in the first place.

    Menopause occurs when a woman stops ovulating and her monthly period (menstruation) ceases. Many menopausal women experience weight gain, particularly around the abdomen. Normal hormonal changes are thought to be partly responsible, although the exact process is not understood.

    Menopausal weight gain isn't always caused from hormonal imbalances but may be a result of age and lifestyle factors. Age and lifestyle factors that could lead to excess pounds include exercising less, eating more, and genetics. Since carrying around excess pounds can increase risks for other problems, most physicians will advise a program to help with how to control menopausal weight loss.

    Signs of Menopausal Weight Gain

    With aging, muscles decrease in bulk and the metabolism slows down. These changes can contribute to weight gain around the time of menopause.

    Other physical changes associated with menopausal weight gain may include:
    •Loss of libido
    •Vaginal dryness
    •Hair growth (or loss).
    These changes may affect a woman’s body image and self-esteem. Taking steps to manage the symptoms of menopause can be a powerful antidote.

    A simple formula used on how to control menopausal weight gain includes increasing physical activity, reducing calories and dietary fat, and making healthier dietary decisions.

    Try thinking about how to control menopausal weight gain, as a healthy way to live instead of thinking diet.

    Other contributing factors to Menopausal Weight Gain


    Apart from declining oestrogen levels, other factors that may contribute to weight gain after menopause include:
    •Loss of muscle tissue with age
    •Lowered metabolism
    •Reduced physical activity
    •Altered habits - for example, more freedom to eat out.

    Tips On Managing and How to control menopausal weight gain



    To manage your weight after menopause you should try to:
    •Eat a healthy, or better still Mucus-less (or mucus poor) Diet of Fruits, Vegetables (leafy and roots) and if possible, the use of occasional juice fasts or restricted diets of mono-meals of seasonal fruits.

    •Have regular and sustained aerobic exercise; this will give your metabolism a boost. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity everyday. My personal recommendations due to its ability to both reliving stress, while simultaneously toning and strengthening the body will be the ever so popular Yoga.

    •Build up and maintain your muscle mass with strength training such as weight training or weight bearing exercise like walking and bicycling. (See your doctor before starting a new exercise program.)

    .Stay thinking, speaking and acting Positively.

    Learning how to control menopausal weight gain should not be a big burden and when does successfully, weight gain around the time of menopause can definitely be curtailed and adequately taken care of.

    Now, with the several people in the United States today who are obese and overweight, and with the failure of several so called quick weight loss programs out there, it should be no wonder that several people are perhaps discovering the link between a raw foods diet and weight loss...and this for good reason.

    As a dietetic choice for losing wight, raw foods diet plans are the most effective for nutrition while shedding the pounds.

    Why?

    Well, simply because they are the most natural, most biologically safe and the most efficient for bringing about weight loss and a simultaneous detoxification.

    Using The Raw Foods Diet For Weight Loss



    Here is a list of raw foods commonly found in several raw foods diet plans.

    Foods (when eating for health) can be classified as follows.

    Fruits:
    1. Sweet Fruits: Tropical Fruits, Dates, Persimmons, Sweet Grapes
    2. Acid Fruits: Lemons, Citrus, Tomatoes.
