Prince Charming, riding on a white stallion, lost his way or found Princess Charming and got married on his way to your castle. Get over it and get on with it. You ARE going to have to actively seek the man of your dreams and you won’t find him hiding under your bed. You already know that he isn’t among the men that you are acquainted with so, now what? Online dating is “what”.

It’s true that online dating, while in its infancy, was only made up of perverts, sexual predators, nerds and weirdoes but that is no longer true. It has become the main tool of the single person in every developed country in the world. Forty million people can’t all be wrong. Ask your girl friends if they have ever used online dating or are using it now. If they are honest with you, most of them have or are now members of at least one online dating site and maybe more than one. It really is the way to go to meet eligible men who want to meet you. It doesn’t matter what any of your numbers are…like age, height, weight or income either. Somewhere out there in the big wide world there is a man who will like you…..then love you….and think that you are beautiful and desirable. “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” is true. What is considered beautiful in one part of the world is completely different from what is considered beautiful in another part of the world. It’s even different from one part of this country to another.

Find an online dating site that fits your needs. Write a great profile and post a flattering picture. Start contacting eligible men on the site. Mr. Close-enough-to-perfect could be a few mouse clicks away.

Need more information about online dating? The first most important tip is to learn to pick your battles. You will have to determine what elements are important to you regarding the wedding and go ahead and be firm on your preferences with these; however, you can’t decided that every little detail is the most important element if you want to decrease your stress level. If you are passionate about the wedding and honeymoon locations make those happen, but maybe compromise in other areas such as the flowers or invitations.

2. Give yourself plenty of time to plan. Trying to plan an elaborate wedding in six weeks is not only a crazy idea but stress provoking. Again, pick your battle. Which is more important…the elaborate wedding or getting married in six weeks. Based on which you choose, plan accordingly with either more time or a simpler wedding.

3. Enlist help from others. This one is particularly difficult for the control freak bride. We feel like we know exactly what we want and that no one on the face of the earth can do it like we can so we may as well do it ourselves. Wrong! Did you know that one of the consistent characteristics among top leaders in the world is that they surround themselves with strong people to help them? You can do that as well. Just pick people you know you can trust and that will accept guidance from you. Notice I said guidance and not bossing. Make your desires known and then let them do their work. If you try to control them, then you are not only trying to plan a wedding but also trying to manage a group of people…stressful!

4. Always have back up plans. When you sit down to plan out your ideal wedding in your head, think of secondary choices for things as often as you can. That way if you get a phone call that the invitations you want are on back order and won’t be ready in time it doesn’t faze you. You go to plan B and move on to the next item on the to-do list.

5. Save money for the wedding. This one is a bit difficult to do because many of us don’t start saving for our wedding long before the engagement. If you have sufficient funds for the wedding you want it can really decrease your stress. If you don’t have the funds already saved and the wedding date has been set, consider getting an extra part-time job, having a garage sale, utilizing ebay for your spring cleaning, or doing something creative for some extra money. This will help cushion the wedding fund and decrease your stress level when picking out things you really want that may be more than you originally budgeted for.

6. Look for package deals. Many wedding sites now offer package deals that include the food and drinks, flowers, reception site, decorations, and a wedding coordinator for use at the rehearsal. Even though this is a package deal there is often the ability to customize based on your preference for services they offer. This option can decrease planning time and therefore stress, but can be more expensive.

7. Opt for a destination wedding. Often destination weddings offer package deals as well and the planning on the bride and groom’s part is very minimal.

8. Remember there is no such thing as perfect. I once heard someone say that what separates the millionaires from the non-millionaires is that they anticipate things will go wrong. Because they already know that on occasion things may not go exactly as planned they don’t get discouraged or give up when they do, thus leading them to become millionaires. If more things go right then go wrong it is technically a winning situation…at least when it comes to money.

9. If you absolutely cannot take the stress and you really just can’t manage the previous tips then consider eloping. There is very little planning involved in eloping if you go with a very simple arrangement.

10. Lastly…remember to stop often and look at the big picture. The entire reason you are even planning a wedding is to join two lives together forever. You plan to marry your best friend, your sole mate, your love.

No matter what things possibly go wrong, at the end of the wedding you will be married. That is the ultimate goal and as long as you keep your eyes on the prize everything else is just details.

And for those of you that require additional convincing that you should not allow yourself to get stressed out while planning your magical day here is one last attempt. When your stress levels increase you release stress hormones. These hormones can cause you to feel less then your best, decrease your immune system’s ability to fight off illness, and worst of all can show in your face as a less than perfect complexion. That, my friend, should be enough because I know every bride wants to look like a princess on her wedding day.

For additional wedding tips visit www.verysupersexylingerie.com

Stephanie is the owner of La Bella Amour Lingerie, the premier on-line boutique offering a full line of bridal lingerie, bridal registry, unique shower invitations and thank you cards, and classy bridesmaid gifts. Let me assure you, you're not alone!

More than half of all marriages end in divorce. That's a sad, depressing and very unnecessary statistic.

There really are ways to reconnect to your partner. To fall in love all over again. Remember how it was in the beginning? That passion can be rekindled.

Many of us have been where you're at. We've felt that hopeless feeling. Then we reached out for information on how to save a marriage and advice from those who've been there, and we pulled ourselves out of that depressing hole.

You need to sit down and formulate a plan to save your marriage. To reclaim your future and your happiness. And you need to take real, positive action.

And no, it doesn't matter what's been done or what's been said. You can save a marriage no matter how much damage has been done. You can even begin to take concrete steps to save your marriage even if your partner isn't yet motivated to do so.

Saving a marriage is very hard work and it takes time. You need that time to rebuild the love and trust that you've lost. You need to create new, happy memories together. You need to reduce the tension, have fun and laugh with each other again.

So, here we go with some step-by-step advice on how to save a marriage:

Step one is to change how you respond when communicating with your partner. Don't fall back into the trap of fighting. Be positive, if they're looking to fight, separate yourself from them until they calm down.

Fighting is a two-way street, it takes two to tango. Change your responses and eventually they will be forced to change their approach to a more positive one as well. To save your marriage, you will have to break the negative patterns.

After the tension has calmed down, step two is to give them a gift, "just because I love you". Choose a gift that will remind your partner of your earlier, happier days together. See how we're connecting the happy past with the present?

Step three is to start dating again. Have a date night once a week, no matter what. You need this time together to reconnect to the feelings you both had when you first fell in love.

Step four on how to save a marriage is a biggie: go away together on a romantic vacation. Just the two of you. Even if just for a weekend. Don't fill this time with a lot of expectations, just have fun together!

There you go, how to save a marriage, from someone who's been there. You've got some work to do, huh? But those of us that have been through it, and rebuilt our marriages, know that it's well worth it to feel that love and closeness with your sweetie again!

For much more in-depth, step-by-step information on how to save a marriage, go to relationship expert Mary Goodwin's website which features reviews of all the best products on how to save your marriage: http://www.savingourmarriage.com/

Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

You too can have a happy, fulfilling Marriage

The Secret To A Great Marriage, by Nily Glaser -

You too can have a happy, fulfilling Marriage

The Secret to a Great Marriage, Should not be a secret at all.

My husband and I were married in 1965, raised a family and still feel about each other as though we are newlyweds. Brides, grooms and married couples who know us, often ask us something akin to: "What is the secret to your relationship and happy marriage?"

Since I write for brides and grooms and married couples, I thought this is an important topic to write about.

When you first decide to marry, you are very much in love. It is this flame that you need to nurture so it does not dim. If you do, you too will enjoy the bliss of a happy fulfilling marriage. But how do you do it?

There are many aspects to married life and all are crucial. Some couples look at the movies for fairy tale marriages where all is always rosy and nice. Reality however dictates that you should never take your spouse for granted and that each of you needs to give MORE than 100 percent but expect less.

Of the highest priority is that you make your marriage the MOST important part of your life and your spouse the most important person. Never compromise the place of your spouse or marriage relating to anything else.

We often hear married people say that the kids come first. We say that the only exception is your spouse. After all, your children are invited guests in your marriage. Guests that eventually will leave you empty nesters. Once more, you are a married couple without children at home. Is your flame still burning? It should be!

Following are suggestions that are the results of our experiences as husband and wife.

SET ASIDE TIME FOR EACH OTHER

We are all very busy. Our days, weeks months and years are filled with many obligations and responsibilities that are demanding of our time and energy. From work, house keeping, child rearing and volunteering even to socializing, our calendar is full. Yet we make sure to devote special time for each other. It does not have to be a large block of time. A phone call during the day just to say "“I love you", "I miss you" or "I was thinking about you"” or placing a love note in your spouse’s car does not take much time yet warms the heart.

PRAISE, COMPLIMENT AND ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER

It does not take but a moment to share kind words, compliments praise and encouragement. Yet they are very important to a great relationship. Both my husband and I have and will continue to tell each other how grateful, how fortunate, how lucky and how fulfilled we feel for having the other as our partner in life. Yes! Marrying my husband is the best thing that ever happened to me.

We find opportunities for sentiments such as:

“you look great.
I really like your…,
I am proud of you for…,
Your idea is terrific. You should pursue it.
Thanks for your input it really helps.
I am glad I asked for your opinion.
You make my life complete.
What would I do without you?
etc…

DO THINGS TOGETHER

It is always fun to be together. So find things that both of you can participate in and do them together. Whether it is entertainment or household chores, visiting or going on vacation nothing can bring you closer than sharing and being with one another, showing interest and participating in what is important to your mate.

Take Chiho for example. She does not particularly enjoy going to the movies. Yet, she surprised Dan when she took him to a movie he mentioned he would like to see.

Just as doing things together is crucial to a great marriage, it is also crucial to remember that occasionally we all need our own space. Do not always hang around. Allow your spouse his or her own space.

DO FOR EACH OTHER

It is expected that married couples will remember and celebrate each other on special occasions such as birthdays, holidays and anniversaries. Ours happens to be easy to remember as we got married on the 4th of July. But the beauty and warmth of a surprise exceeds them all. Small and large gestures done without fanfare say, "I love you and think of you." And "“you are important to me".

Here again, you do not have to be rich to surprise each other as acts of kindness go a long way. Neither my husband nor I ever surprised the other with a diamond ring or a new car sitting in the driveway. We just do little things for each other, sometimes serious sometimes humorous, but always with love. In fact, just yesterday my husband walked in with a lovely bonsai tree in a planter and said: "When I saw this beautiful little tree I thought of you and how much you’ll enjoy it."

Put on your thinking cap and come up with ideas that will please your mate and reflect your love.

Take your mate on a surprise day outing just for enjoyment.

Set a special dinner table and if you have no children light candles for a romantic atmosphere.

Bring home a box of candies, a bottle of wine or champagne, a dessert your spouse likes a book he or she will enjoy, a movie to watch together.Or how about a bonsai tree?

Bring your spouse a stuffed animal, a piggy bank for the laundry room for loose change that falls out of pockets, a flower or even just a card.

Surprise your spouse with a new outfit or sexy lingerie and he will cherish the moment.

Prepare a bubble bath for your un-suspecting wife complete with romantic candles and she will thank you for your thoughtfulness.

Warm your spouse’s car on a cold morning.

Share in doing the chores.

You know what your spouse will enjoy and appreciate. Use your imagination and surprise him or her.

PERSONALITY TRAITS

We are all human and no one is perfect. Every marriage includes two individuals with their unique personality traits, some wonderful and some faulty. Yes! We all have our faults. So how do we handle the faulty traits yet love, respect and be thankful for having our spouse?

Rather than criticize, we do our utmost to understand each other and turn the faults into positives.

Let us say that others think of your spouse as touchy. Why not describe him or her as sensitive?
How about turning the tables from a manipulative person to a person who is very resourceful with many creative ideas?

Have you got a fussy spouse? Or is he or she simply very organized and efficient?

Your spouse is not messy. He or she simple is very creative and creative people work best when they are not restricted.
Here again, you know your spouse better than anyone else. Get creative.

Talking about personality traits raises the question of disagreements. Since each of us is an individual, we each have our points of view and ideas that may differ and even contradict our spouse’s. This may cause disagreements and even fights. Anger and resentment may build and affect the relationship. Should you allow it? Absolutely not!

Act maturely about disagreements and do not let them escalate and become actual fights.

Ask our sons who are in their thirties, and they will tell you that they can not recall us ever fighting exchanging harsh words or raising our voices. This is because we never allowed a disagreement to become more than an argument. And we settled our arguments over a cup of coffee.

It is crucial that you resolve your misunderstandings and arguments and kiss and make up before you go to bed.

NEVER go to sleep angry at one another.

ALWAYS kiss and say “I love you” before you go to sleep.

SHOW AFFECTION

Some individuals do not mind showing affection in public, while others are reserved. Yet we all like and need to be reassured that we are loved.

Small gestures of love even as small as an unexpected touch, kiss or even a pat on the head can make us tingle and give us butterflies. Think about how you’d feel when you are watching TV or are at your computer and your spouse plants a kiss on the back of your neck or passes a loving hand on your head or back and leaves the room. That is right! He or she came into the room just to touch you with love. So, how do you feel about it?

ALWAYS STAND BY YOUR MAN – WOMAN

If not for my husband’s encouragement, patience, understanding and support, I would never have written this article because I would not have become involved with weddings.

The books I have written and published, Candles By Nily and A-wedding Day would not have been born if not for his love and caring, interest and actual devotion to seeing me happy.

Though my husband may not see it this way, he made many sacrifices to allow me to pursue my dreams. I am and always will be grateful to him.

Many couples do and will, and we too encountered rough spots throughout our marriage. Some such as a lengthy period of unemployment could have caused us to separate yet, because of our deep love and devotion to one another, brought us closer together. We stood by each other just as we vowed "for better and for worse" and nurtured each other knowing that "“this too shall pass" and that we shall stay together and thrive.

We are not angels and each of us made some mistakes along the way. We could have gotten upset and angry with the other. However, we took the route of rationalization. Our usual reaction has been that we learned an important lesson, it cost us less than college tuition and we can chuck it to experience and go on with life.

As the author of this article, I concentrated on my husband and what he did to strengthen our marriage, as I did not find it appropriate to toot my own horn.

Permission to re-print

If you would like to add contents to your site, newsletter, or publication, we grant you permission to post this Article and forward it to your friends. So, the doctor can make sure that the exercises are safe for the mother and especially for the unborn baby. On the other hand some women have a complicated pregnancy and cannot perform physical exercises. Moreover, pregnant women who choose to make exercises should remember that they still have a special condition and they should start out slowly and don t overdo it.

Much more, there are a wide variety of exercises that can be quite useful and don't create discomfort or pain. However, pregnant women should avoid contact sport and activities in which they may get hit in the tummy.

For instance, a common activity which pregnant women usually choose is aerobics, exercises that increase the heart rate and pump oxygen and nutrients throught the body. Other low impact activities are: walking, swimming, stationary cycling. For others, it can be far more complicated. Many women feel helpless if they do not conceive quickly, and they begin to think there may be a serious fertility problem. There are many things women can do to increase their fertility levels and therefore, improve their chances of having a baby.

Keep a Positive Attitude

Research has shown that physical health is not the only issue, where conception is concerned. Having a positive mental attitude can make an enormous difference. Negative thoughts will often hinder your chances of conceiving. As stress level rise, fertility levels can fall. Try not to worry too much about getting pregnant quickly. Take time out of your busy schedule to unwind. Everyone has different methods of relaxing, so think about what you can do to achieve this.

For some, it can be as simple as taking a warm, candlelit bath. Others may need more help. Aromatherapy massages and reflexology are wonderfully calming and can make a huge difference to your state of mind. Aromatherapy may also be used to regulate menstrual cycles. Certified aroma therapists can be found on the internet or in your local business directory.

Just spending some quality time with your partner can help. Try to do activities together in your spare time and make sure that you both enjoy them. This alone can heighten the emotional aspects of your relationship and remove some of the stress that so easily builds up when you are trying for a baby.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture has been known to have a very positive affect on fertility, when used in conjunction with IVF. Research in to its effects on fertility alone, are incomplete. Though, smaller studies have shown that it can be beneficial.

Acupuncture has been used by Chinese medics for around 5,000 years and is renowned for having amazing effects on a variety of ailments. However, its benefits have only been recognised by American medics for the past few decades.

If you are interested in trying out acupuncture, always find a reputable, certified acupuncturist. The National Institutes of Health and The American Academy of Medical Acupuncture are reliable sources for finding licensed acupuncturists.

Ovulation

Your chances of becoming pregnant greatly depend on your menstrual cycle and its regularity. Ovulation usually occurs between the twelfth and eighteenth day of your cycle. During this time, you are at your most fertile and your chances of falling pregnant are maximized.

It is thought that ovulation is most likely to happen on day fourteen (this is based on a regular, twenty-eight day cycle.) A way of predicting your most likely day of ovulation is to subtract fourteen from the total length of your own menstrual cycle. For example, if your cycle is twenty-eight days, subtract fourteen to arrive at your optimum date of fertility, (in this is case, it would be day fourteen.) Nevertheless, women’s menstrual cycles do vary greatly; consequently, your day of ovulation may either be before or after day fourteen.

Ovulation predictor tests can also be bought from a pharmacy or drugstore. Having sexual intercourse when you are ovulating will obviously increase your chances of getting pregnant. Although, couples should try to have sex at least three times per week if they are trying for a baby. The human body is a miraculous thing and ovulation does not always occur when it should take place. Regular sex not only strengthens a relationship, it is a way of making sure that no opportunities are missed.

After you have had intercourse, try not to get up or move around for at least twenty minutes, this will help to keep your partner’s sperm inside your body, again, increasing the likelihood of falling pregnant.

Nutrition and Diet

Having good nutrition and eating a sensible, healthy diet plays a hugely important role. Try to eat a diet rich in fruit and vegetables, lean protein and wholegrain, fiber-rich foods, such as brown bread, rice and pasta.
The vitamins and nutrients that are found in certain foods can also help you become pregnant. Here are some examples:

* Leafy, green vegetables, such as cabbage, kale, broccoli, lettuce and spinach, are high in folic acid, a vitamin which is incredibly important for both mother and child. Folic acid supports the development of a fetus and can prevent debilitating defects, including spina bifida. It is also essential for the reproductive and general health of a woman. Folic acid can also be found in bread and cereals and taken as a vitamin supplement.

* Lean meat or beans and pulses are very rich in protein and iron. These important nutrients help to keep iron levels high in the body. A blood count low in iron, can affect the general health of the ovaries, and may interfere with ovulation.

* healthy eggs and can be found in nuts and seeds, dairy products, yeast, wholegrain foods, lean meat and shellfish.

* Dairy products are rich in calcium, which everyone needs to maintain healthy bones and teeth. If you are trying to get pregnant, make sure that you consume enough calcium, in order for your body to support a developing fetus

If you have been trying to get pregnant for more than one year, or you are feeling very unhappy. It is best to make an appointment, to discuss any issues you may have, with your doctor. If your doctor thinks there is a genuine complication, they will arrange for you to see a fertility specialist as soon as possible.

Author about:
Sophie Cosic is the mother of two girls and the author of many articles concerning childcare, education, natural health, parenting and pregnancy. Caring for an exotic pet is serious business, but it can also be a fun and challenging endeavor.

Exotic pets are animals that are not commonly considered pets by many. They are not your regular, every day pets. Unless your pet dog or cat belongs to a very rare species, it's not an exotic pet. Exotic pets are also referred to as non-traditional pets because they are not the kind of pets that most pet owners would have. Some of the more popular exotic pets include exotic cats, frogs, hamsters, hedgehogs, lizards, monkeys (illegal in some countries), parrots, snakes, spiders, turkeys and turtles.

Before acquiring an exotic pet, you need to be clear as to why you truly want to own one. Are you just getting an exotic pet so you can be "cool" and show off to friends and family? If you are, it is best to forget getting one. Caring for an exotic pet demands is a big responsible, one you should never take lightly. Because you will be caring for a non-traditional pet, your exotic pet will require special accommodations, attention and food.

However, if you truly want to own an exotic pet not for the cool factor having one but for a real desire to care for one then the next thing you should do is research on the kind of exotic pet you want to have. Also, make sure that the exotic pet you are going to get is legally allowed in the area you are living in.

Below are a few more things you should keep in mind when buying an exotic pet.

* Consider how big the exotic pet you want will grow into as adult. Don't just go for an exotic pet because you think it's cute when it's still a baby. Think about its size when it becomes an adult. Remember that the larger the pet, the bigger the space it will require and the harder it may be to handle.

* Do you want an exotic pet that likes people and frequently handled? Perhaps you want an exotic pet that does not mind if it is not handled regularly.

* What kind of food will your exotic pet need? Exotic pets usually need specialized food. You need to know if you will be able to get food for your exotic food from a regular supplier. Also, consider how food would be prepared as some exotic pets require freshly prepared food every day. Factor this in your decision since you are the one who will be feeding your exotic pet.

* What kind of housing will your exotic pet need? Will a small cage do or will you need to build something to hold your exotic pet?

* Consider the cost of keeping your exotic pet alive. Exotic pets are more expensive to care for than ordinary pets. You will have to find out how much food, housing, supplies and veterinary care your exotic pet will require.

* What are your plans for the long term? Do you see yourself moving to a new place or being away for a long time? How will you take care of your exotic pet during those times when you are away?

* Do you have children living with you? Make sure that the exotic pet will be safe around kids and vice versa.

* If you have other pets in your home, make sure that the exotic pet you get is compatible with them.

* Make sure that there is available veterinary care nearby for your exotic pet.

* There are exotic pets that live a long time and may even outlive you so consider this when choosing an exotic pet.

* Consider an exotic pet's destructive tendencies. Will you be able to train your exotic pet? How much training will be required to curb your exotic pet's destructive tendencies?

* Keep in mind that there are animals that carry disease that can be transmitted to humans so take care when choosing an exotic pet.

* Avoid getting an exotic pet that can pose potential danger to your or other people's life. There are exotic pets that are aggressive and downright dangerous.
By: George Chao -

Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

For more information about Exotic Pets, please visit www.digitalexcellent.com/exoticpets/

Please Rate this Article

Reducing Playground Scars

Playground swings, slides and jungle gyms are fun, but they can also cause injuries. And statistics show that almost half of all playground injuries occur during summer months.

The most common accidental playground injuries in children 4 and younger are to the head and face, while for children ages 5 to 14, injuries to the arms and hands are most common.

Fortunately, the scars left behind from these injuries don't have to serve as permanent reminders of these accidents.

Pediatricians recommend using a scar product formulated just for children to reduce the appearance of these types of scars. Such products, such as Mederma for Kids, work to soften and smooth old and new scars resulting from cuts and scrapes, stitches, burns, bug bites, surgery--and even the occasional playground accident.

The product has a kid-friendly scent, is easy to use and is nontoxic. Because it goes on purple and massages in clear, kids often get more involved in their scar treatment process.
By: Stacey Moore

Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

To learn more, visit www.medermaforkids.com. For those suburban dwellers among us, the upkeep of our home’s lawn can be tantamount to a full time job. And the appearance of said lawn can be an exercise in social domination. There are no shortages of neighborhood competitions regarding the color, thickness, and texture of our lawns. And even if the only pressure we feel is that which we put on ourselves, lawn care can still be incredibly overwhelming. Luckily, with the mastering of a few fundamentals of lawn care we can be well on our way to achieving a lush and healthy lawn.

When examining proper lawn care, you should start at the beginning. If you have the opportunity to choose the type of grass that is planted around your home then you can begin the proper care from the ground up; some research will yield the type of grass that will grow the best in your particular climate.

Going forward, successful lawn care means a regular system of maintenance that revolves around the seasons. Applying fertilizer in the fall and essential nutrients in the winter will allow your lawn to be healthy all year.

Additionally, weekly maintenance during growing season should be included in a lawn care system. Be sure to mow your lawn on a weekly basis and remove grass clippings to ensure that the roots of your lawn are not blocked from receiving proper water and sunlight. To this end, frequent aeration of your lawn will loosen soil and keep water and nutrients moving freely, thus allowing your grass to grow without hindrance. Further, if there is insufficient water from rain, then be sure to supplement with frequent watering of your grass.

Consistent and dedicated lawn care all year will reward you with a beautiful and healthy lawn to be envied by all.
By: Michelle Bery -

Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

For easy to understand, in depth information about lawn care visit our ezGuide 2 Lawn Care.

Building a compost bin can be a fantastic way to bond with your family

Building a compost bin can be a fantastic way to bond with your children. In addition, you can educate them about saving the environment and preservation. What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Let’s start with a simple definition of a compost bin. It is simply a “container” for turning waste organic material such as peelings (fruits or vegetables), leaves and grass clippings into compost so that they can be used to improve soil quality.

Fundamentally, there are two popular bin systems. One is the three bin system where the bins are either connected or individually lined up. This allows for using bins for different types of composts such as regular compost, slow compost like woody plants or leaves collected in fall.

Yet another purpose of the three bin system is to move the compost from one bin to the next, allowing it to turn. Each bin is for compost at a different stage of decay. And, when the compost makes it to the third bin, it is ready for use.

The other bin system is the simple one bin system where you dump everything in!

Common materials for building a compost bin include a 16-guage plastic-coated wire mesh and hardware cloth. Other materials of choice include the old cinder blocks or bricks, wooden pallets, hog wire spoiled hay bales, snow fencing, and a discarded rabbit hutch. It is a bad idea to use pressure-treated wood, as it has toxic levels of copper and chromium. This will probably poison your compost.

Building a compost bin from wooden pallets is probably the most economic and efficient way. You can easily get pallets from grocery, hardware stores, and warehouses. Use plastic ties to hold four pallets together in a box formation. If you are going for a 3 bin system, simply add another bin by attaching 3 more pallets using one side of the already made bin to complete another box.

Generally, a compost bin built using wooden pallets will decompose in two years’ time. When that comes, it is fun time again – it’s time for building a compost bin again!
By: Candy Tyler -

Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

For even more FREE compost bins information, go to How to Build a Compost Bin. It is important to keep it clean and fresh, not only for unexpected company, but for your family as well.

To make the bathroom a place you want to be, it needs to look and smell fresh. Although some people use air fresheners to accomplish this, the smell can be harsh and overwhelming (especially for a small bathroom). A quick mop, wipe down of the exterior of the toilet, and a scrub of the sink will bring a new life to the bathroom.

In our home, the children handle these chores. It doesn’t take them long, it helps me have time for other chores, and I never have to cringe if someone has to use our bathrooms while they are visiting.

It is also important to keep the soap out in the open, and the tooth brushes away from the open. If you thing of all the germs that are floating around the bathroom then you want to expose your toothbrush as little as possible. The soap should be out for everyone’s use. I keep the liquid soap filled. With small children, I have found that diluting the soap with water helps with waste.

For visitors, there is nothing worse than washing your hands and finding nothing to dry them on. Keep a hand towel near or on the sink to encourage people to wash up at the conclusion of their visit to the room.

Keeping the bathroom clean is not as time consuming as some might imagine. Doing the jobs on a consistent time line will make them easier and quicker. The clean room will be inviting to visitors, and it will also be healthier for your own family. With a little planning, your bathroom could become the best place in the house.
By: Kathryn Lang

Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

Kathryn Lang is a freelance writer covering lifestyle issues. This atmosphere is not visible. It may not even correspond to a particularly spiritually-based life within a family. Nevertheless, the vibration of increased light that is present is being taken in by children's bodies as is the energy of darkness, both of which are currently amplified on a planetary level, leading to an overloading, at times, of the energy circuits within a child's body.

This overloading occurs when what is being taken in cannot adequately be processed or released. All too often, parents, educators, physicians, or counselors who do not feel comfortable with this kind of frame of reference or who simply require a more immediate approach to the problem of symptomatic behavior, will seek medication to alter a behavioral or mental pattern that seems to not respond to any other kind of intervention. And yet this action, too, is often taken with a sense of concern on the part of parents, for the accompanying effects of any kind of medication used by the very young are not altogether known or knowable.

A spiritual perspective about children's attention deficit disorders, about behavioral problems, about sudden bursts of aggression in children who are otherwise placid or very gentle, will not immediately calm or change the situation in which the behavior occurs. It will not immediately tell parents what to do to make it stop or expand a child's ability to focus or be present both at school and in general. Yet such a focus, if taken seriously, can significantly help to limit the existing symptoms and can also create hope for the future – a future in which these symptoms will no longer be present.

The limitation of symptoms comes from restricting the contact a child has with disturbing energies or disturbing environments so that their systems do not easily get overloaded, or, if such contact is necessary, it comes from building in recovery time within a day's activities so that things can smooth out. Hope for the future is created by understanding that there is a purposefulness to what is happening with the very young. They have chosen to be here at this time of great change and transformation and their bodies are responding to the already existing alterations on the planet before their minds or hearts can know anything about what is really going on. For many of these children, it will be the case in the years ahead that those whose bodies are already beginning to adapt to greater light, will have an easier time when the light begins to increase even more. In this sense, many who are having difficulties at present because their young bodies cannot adequately handle the strong energies they are processing, will have a head start in being able to deal with things later on.

Of course this view presumes that there is a planetary transformation taking place and that its effects are palpable. Without such an understanding, the only recourse for parents who are concerned for their loved ones is to continue to work exclusively within a medical and/or psychological frame of reference and to find the best answers they can to the problems they are faced with. If a broader view can be acquired, however, even without giving up the more commonplace forms of treatment that have been adhered to, then the use of medication can be evaluated in a different way in terms of not being the only option available. Other lifestyle changes that will have a more long-term effect can be pursued so that the energetic issues causing the problem of system overload can be handled in a more practical, common-sense way and on a daily basis.

While it may not be true that all children who are presently diagnosed with such things as attention deficit disorder or related difficulties are responding to an inadequate processing of greater light and greater darkness, there are many today who could be helped greatly by such a perspective which would allow for greater patience and tolerance and less anxiety and concern on the part of parents.

The purpose of the transformation of the planet into light is a good one. It is one that will liberate forces of love and the desire for peace and unity on the earth that have not been capable of greatly influencing the planet before this present time. It will bring human consciousness to the next stage of its development. It will create a body-level understanding of the oneness of all and the sacred life within all. Many children who are otherwise having great difficulty with life understand these spiritual principles intuitively, and if they were not so physically and emotionally taxed on a daily basis, would be able to manifest more of the soul that lives within them that is actually here to make a positive contribution to planetary wellbeing – to love, to gentleness, and to peace on earth.

A spiritual perspective does not have to be in competition with others. What it allows for is the openness to gain one's own experience from a new way of looking at things. This openness may lead to new practical measures that can be experimented with in order to help one's children, and also in order to help oneself deal with the challenges that must be met. The freedom to choose an expanded way of viewing things enables practical decisions to be made from a more knowledgeable base - one that is trustful instead of fearful, that is hopeful instead of despairing, and that can see the good that will ultimately come from the present difficult situation.
By: Julie Redstone -

Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

For other writings by Julie Redstone see Pathways of Light and the Light Omega Reader. At times it appears to be impossible to get them to open up and talk about their lives. But talking to your child and being aware of what is going on in their lives is one of the greatest ways to shield them from danger. Spying and snooping around isn’t the best way to get that information either, it will only makes matters worse if your teen finds out.

Here are a few tips to help your teen open up:

Start young. Keeping a connection going with your child is easier than starting one when you haven’t had one before. You may discover them trying to draw away once they hit a certain age; just being persistent and keeping at it can prove to work.

Be open to what they say. When you get your teen to open up, don’t be shocked if they say some things you are not fond of. Just be open to what they’re telling you instead of being critical. You can express to them that you don’t approve of something without attacking them. If they feel relaxed talking about serious things, they’ll be more likely to come to you if they have a dilemma.

Find a common ground. Look for things that you and your child are both interested in. It’s easier to talk about something that you both have in common.

Spend more together. A recent study showed that many teens complain that they are not receiving sufficient time with their parents. This is one of their top concerns. Many teens feel they can’t talk to their parents because they’re always at work or busy doing other things. Many time we fail to remember to take time out from our frantic lives to pay enough attention to our kids one on one. Some suggestions for spending additional time with your teen are:

* Set up a definite time every week to spend time with your teen
* Have dinner at the table with the whole family as often as possible
* Work out or engage in a sporting activity with your child

While your teen may be hesitant to talk to you at first, keep trying. Likely, you’ll intimately break down the wall and they’ll look forward to talking with you and spending more time with you as well.
By: Aurelia Williams -

Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

Need more tips on parenting your teen? There are many different styles of handles on the market. The locking mechanisms on certain styles vary and each has a unique function. If you are going to change your locks, be sure to know what type works best and why. Here is some useful information on styles and basics of changing a lock. Knowing what the lock is used for is important in finding the style that best meets your security needs.

Free through Passage Handles: These handles are exactly as they sound. You will not have to worry about locks. They come in either a knob type handle style or a level style which is very popular. Before purchasing these handles, though, be sure you do not need a lock.

Privacy Door Knobs: These handles are often used in the bedroom or bathroom. You can unlock the door by either turning the knob or turning an extra switch on the inside of the door. These are great for those areas where privacy is desired most.

Security Deadbolt Lock: The single deadbolt lock is a great style lock is good for any entrance to the home, whether the front or back door. However, it is best to use this lock with doors that do not have side lights or a glass pane since entrance would be fairly easy. One would only have to break the glass and reach in to turn the knob. The double deadbolt lock can provide extra strength and security to your doors. It can be locked form the inside or the outside using a key. You can also add a chain, for example, to provide even more security.

Decorative Door Knobs, Deadbolt and Latch Set: These handles help improve your home’s appearance. They are often placed on French doors. You can also use them on pantries if there is nothing hazardous inside, which should be kept from small children for instance. There are no locks on these decorative handles, but a little more security can be implemented with a decorative deadbolt and latch set. You can use these two pieces together or by themselves, depending on your needs.

You must now determine if the door handle you currently have is appropriate. To make this determination, you should first look at the latch plate. The hole may not be deep enough for a higher quality latch. Open and remove the existing latch plate, which is on the inside of your door. If it does not fit into the old hole, you will need to chisel the hole to give it a deeper depth. Also, be sure to check that the plunger for the deadbolt lines up with the hole in the frame since the lock will not provide proper security otherwise. Adding longer screws into the pre-drilled areas on the latch plate can add extra security.
By: Eric J. Whether it happened during puberty, as physiological growth spurts stretched your skin beyond its tolerance, or during a previous pregnancy, stretch marks are simply a normal part of life. But if you are ready to say, “No More!”, then you need to be aware of ways to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy or other periods of dramatic weight change.

As the saying goes, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!” This little pearl of wisdom also applies to the prevention of stretch marks. As you probably know, removing stretch marks is not an easy process and can take months just to fade them enough so they are not quite as noticeable. There are effective stretch mark creams and lotions that do a pretty good job of repairing the damaged skin, but they can be costly and time consuming.

So, if you are concerned about developing any further stretch marks during pregnancy, try following these helpful tips. Your odds of avoiding further skin damage and scarring will be dramatically improved, and as an added bonus, the appearance your existing stretch marks may benefit too!

Establish a Skin Care Program

The first step in preventing stretch marks is to develop a routine skin care program. Don’t make your program so complicated or cumbersome that you will not stick with it. A simple plan that you will be able to follow easily on a daily basis will prove far more effective than a more elaborate routine that you will only follow on a hit and miss basis.

Moderate Your Weight Gain

Though some weight gain is natural during pregnancy, the rate at which the additional pounds are added is very important. Remember that the skin has a natural tendency to flex or stretch without damaging the skin tissue. However, sudden weight changes can stretch the skin beyond its tolerances and tearing and scarring result, also known as stretch marks. So, monitor your weight gain during your pregnancy and strive for a more moderate and even weight gain to the extent possible.

Don’t Forget to Hydrate Your Skin

The proper hydration of your skin during pregnancy is a key element of any skin care program. As pregnancy will place more tension on your skin in the abdomen, thighs and buttocks areas, your skin becomes more sensitive. You may experience sensations of itching and pressure as your skin expands. This is where the application of a high quality stretch mark cream or body lotion can not only relieve some of these symptoms, but also enhance the skins ability to expand and flex.

Massage Your Skin

This is a practice that is often overlooked but can really help with the prevention of stretch marks. Take a gentle brush or massage glove and gently massage the skin in those high risk areas, generally your abdomen and thighs. This will stimulate circulation to the skin and promote healthier and more resilient skin tissue.

Eat Right and Take Vitamins

Being as healthy as you possibly can during pregnancy has multiple benefits. Firstly and most importantly, it helps develop a strong and healthy baby. Secondly, it helps your body counter the stresses placed on it during and after your pregnancy. This also includes your skin’s health. Eating nutritional and healthy meals, complimented by a vitamin prescribed by your doctor, will help keep your skin healthy and radiant.

These five helpful skin care tips, if practiced routinely, will help prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. Obviously, there are no absolute guarantees due to the variability of skin types and conditions, but establishing a skin care program will definitely tip the odds in your favor of preventing any further stretch marks. Heck they think we just exist for the shear pleasure of cooking them their meals and taking them where they need to go. Seems more than not, they love to talk back and yell. Why not yell they feel the louder they yell the more we will hear them and then they get mad when we do not understand and then they walk out stomping or worse, cussing!

Teens usually fly of the handle when they have no patience with us, or they have a disagreement with their curfew. Teens have every thing going with them, from hormones, to girl or boy friends to just about anything else if they look at them wrong.

By telling them you will not talk to them when they are yelling is a good way to start. Tell them that nothing is every solved with yelling and tell them you know they would want to come to a better resolved for the problems, so talk it over with them. Sit, yes that’s right moms and dads, sit get out of the fast lane and take time! By sitting down, and listening to your teen, you will be surprised that they are caught off guard. Tell them you are all ears and that you want to resolve the problem.

If the anger is there because you will not let them go out and stay late, compromise with them. Tell them you will let them, if they will start to practice talking things out and not yelling at it all and becoming angry. But also in that tell them they will have consequences if they do not abide by the new decision, for example if you allow them an extra hour, and they come home later, tell them you will reduce the next time. But be sure to tell them ahead of time.

You will be surprised that teens are all to willing to negotiate. You need to learn how to be an auctioneer…bargain, start small and then go from there. By talking and sitting, yes sitting with your teen you will find that the anger will diminish over time.
By: Michele Rogers

Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

Author is Michele Rogers, owner of www.lilyputtshomedecor.com Lilyputts Home Decor, and www.backyardfancy.com Backyard Fancy. Well plenty of us don't. Today television is the norm for all families and it's really cut into 'family time' in a big way. Talk is to a minimum as everyone stares at the screen. Set up a few rules and regulations and you can prevent your whole family from becoming strangers in their own home.

Set specific times for watching television. Many kids turn on the TV as soon as they get home each day. On weekends they wake up and the first thing they do is turn on the TV. If you don't take control of it, television will take over your children's life. During the week, television viewing should be kept to a maximum of two to two and a half hours. There are plenty of chores and homework tasks for the kids to finish when they get home each day.

Don't have the television on during dinner and let everyone sit in front of it and eat. Dinner is a time for the family to be together. It's a time for everyone to sit together and talk about their day. We'd never know what exciting thing happened at school or that our spouse had gotten a raise if we were all mesmerized by the TV. If we don't spend time talking together then we really miss out on important events and changes in each other’s lives. This is a truly sacred time when we all sit at the dinner table.

It's no secret that obesity is on the rise. It's also not a surprise why. When I was a child we went out to play when the sun came up and came back in when the sun went down, we played outside and ran around all day. Today kids have so many video games or favorite show that they can literally stay in the house for days. When do people tend to overeat? When they're distracted by something, like TV or video games, they don't watch what they are putting into their mouths. Our kids are too young to be unhealthy and overweight. They are the largest growing segment of the population suffering from obesity. Children are becoming couch potatoes from watching too much television.

Kids need rules for watching TV, and this doesn't exclude in the bedroom. Many kids now have a television in their bedroom. It isn't ok for them to have the TV on all night long just because it is in their room. If you allow your kids to have the TV on as they go to sleep, then put the timer on so it shuts off. Having the TV shut off automatically will ensure they are able to get a good night sleep.

Just as important as how much television a child watches, is WHAT they watch. Just because it's on TV it doesn't mean that it's appropriate for young views, especially some daytime shows and nighttime dramas. Some are inappropriate for children under eighteen. Cable and satellite don’t make it any easier to monitor what they watch. On regular television most program don’t' show until after 11pm but on cable they can be on all night. Those stations are not regulated like the local channels; therefore as a parent, actively paying attention to what your kids are watching is important.

If you are concerned the kids may be watching shows while you aren't home then you can block certain stations. If you block a channel that show programs you feel are inappropriate for your child's age then they won't be able to view that channel. You can call your local cable or satellite company to find out how to go about doing this with their service. If your kids complain, sit them down and explain why they can’t watch the channel. Entering into a healthy discussion about TV programs is important. As your kids age, they can handle heavier subject matter, but that is the decision of the parent.

The TV doesn't have to be an evil addition to the home but it just needs to be kept under control. Children need to be active not sedentary. Parents need to regulate television time for their kids. Instead, go to the park or the zoo. Real life is much more interesting than anything on TV.
By: Susanne Myers -

Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

For more information on raising happy and healthy kids, visit www.parentingzoo.com/articles/parenting.html and then take a moment to subscribe to the new online parenting magazine and online community - ParentingZoo at www.parentingzoo.com

Please Rate this Article

The Keys To Dramatic Weight Loss

Do you know how to lose the weight and keep it off? Everybody’s focus during this special occasion will be on your precious little one so you want him or her to look beautiful from head to toe.

A christening gown is usually the selected attire for baby girls and can also be worn by baby boys unless a suit or romper is preferred. Gowns are customarily made out of a white fabric such as silk, cotton, satin or organza. White is the chosen color since it symbolizes innocence and purity.

Because the christening gown you choose might very well become a family tradition that will be worn by future generations, be sure you select an heirloom quality gown. Another consideration will be the time of the year during which the baptism or christening will take place. Appropriate sleeve length and fabric thickness should be chosen for the season.

After all the basic decisions are made, remember to let your heart do the shopping and allow yourself to fall in love with the gown you ultimately choose for your baby.

If you are planning to save your baby’s christening gown as an heirloom, you might want to consider purchasing a special gown preservation bag in addition to taking the proper steps for cleaning and storing it.

Now comes the truly fun part, the accessories. Here is a list of just some of the christening and baptism accessories you might want to add to your baby’s outfit.

Bonnet – A christening gown is only truly complete with the wearing of an adorable bonnet, perhaps one with a cross embroidered on it. Some styles are even designed to easily become her future wedding handkerchief.

Shoes and Socks – To truly have your baby looking beautiful from head to toe, you’ll need shoes and socks that are meant especially for this occasion usually showcasing a cross design.

Blanket or Shawl – This will not only complement your baby’s outfit but will also add warmth. To make it a keepsake, some styles offer the option of personalizing.

Jewelry – It’s amazing the tiny infant sizes available for necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings. A cross necklace, for instance, will accessorize the gown and make a treasured keepsake.

Bib – A personalized bib is essential for protecting the gown from stains so it can be properly preserved.

Towel – An embroidered baptism towel is another accessory. It might be able to be used during the actual ceremony and then kept as a souvenir.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime occasion for your baby so you’ll want to devote attention to every last detail from their christening gown to the accessories so he or she looks like an angel for all the photos that will be taken that day and treasured for years to come.
By: Sara Haese

Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

Sara Haese is the owner of www.baptism-and-christening-keepsakes.com where you’ll find great information and ideas for baptism and christening gowns as well as accessories, gifts, invitations, favors, cakes, godparent gifts, godchild gifts, etc.

tips and ideas on exercise during pregnancy

Often when women are going to having a baby they're under the misconception that they can eat all they want and let up on exercising. Researchers have found out that this can be a great risk to both the health of the baby and the mom. To take extra care of both yourself and your baby one of the most important thing you must do is to begin a healthy diet plan to reduce your appetite and workout with daily exercise during pregnancy.

So how do I know what's the right exercise during pregnancy? First, it is really important to know that exercising to much during pregnancy is as wrong as being too stationery without any exercise.

But what's not okay with no exercise during pregnancy? Because of the extra weight gain your body becomes a bit off balance. This and the position on the foetus can place a lot of stress on your back. By strengthening your back muscles through exercise, you can avoid a lot of pain in the back.

The next problem with being without exercising during pregnancy is that you can gain too quickly too much weight. Doctors recommend that you not gain any weight during the first trimester. During the second and third trimester you should gain about a pound per week. It can cause cardiovascular health problems for you and the baby by gaining more than the suggested amount.

Doing overmuch exercise during pregnancy can also be injurious for you and your baby. Exercising too much puts a lot of strain on your body. Additional strain can cause you to severely injure your body, because ligaments of a woman become more fragile during pregnancy advised to adjust to a growing body and the growth of a foetus. Too many exercises can also affect a disadvantage for the proper development of the baby. Sometimes a miscarriage can even occur since the development of the baby is hindered so much.

So during pregnancy how do I know how much to exercise? Basically having a good twenty minutes of exercise in each day should be sufficient for keeping mom and baby healthy. Normally you can exercise more than this, but you must be careful about the type of exercise that you are doing. Walking, yoga and swimming are the best types of exercise during pregnancy. Anything that involves bouncing, getting your heart rate up too high, or the possibility of falling you must avoid. Most non-contact sports are all right to keep going with as long as you do not overwork yourself and you're exceedingly careful with your body. If you love jogging, this is great to go along. But remember that you shouldn't jog more than two miles per day during pregnancy.

So if you are planning on going to having a baby or you are already pregnant, begin an exercise workout right away. Safe exercise during pregnancy is the perfect way to hold you and baby healthy and to stay in shape during your pregnancy. Another really significant advice is to talk to your doctor or a nutritionist on how to get a healthy diet for the months with your child, since a right diet is very important for you and your baby as well.
By: Diane Winter

Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

This article with tips and ideas on exercise during pregnancy was brought to you by Diane Winter. "But we always meet on Wednesdays!" - she pleads, ignoring my detailed explanations and my apologies. She is evidently anxious and her voice trembles. In small, precise movements she rearranges the objects on my desk, stacking stray papers and replacing pens and pencils in their designated canisters.

Anxiety breeds frustration and is followed by rage. The outburst lasts but a second and Magda reasserts control over her emotions by counting aloud (only odd numbers). "So, when and where are we going to meet?" - she finally blurts out.

"On Thursday, same hour, same place" - I reiterate for the third time in as many minutes. "I must make a note of this" - Magda sounds lost and desperate - "I have so many things to do on Thursday!" If Thursday is not convenient, we can make it the next Monday, I suggest. But this prospect of yet another shift in her rigidly ordered universe alarms her even more: "No, Thursday is fine, fine!" - she assures me unconvincingly.

A moment of uneasy silence ensues and then: "Can you give it to me in writing?" Give what in writing? "The appointment." Why does she need it? "In case something goes wrong." What could go wrong? "Oh, you won't believe how many things often go wrong!" - she laughs bitterly and then visibly hyperventilates. What for instance? She'd rather not think about it. "One, three, five..." - she is counting again, trying to allay her inner turmoil.

Why is she counting odd numbers? These are not odd numbers, but prime numbers, divisible only by themselves and by 1. I rephrase my question: Why is she counting prime numbers? But her mind is clearly elsewhere: am I certain that the office isn't reserved by another therapist for Thursday? Yes, I am certain, I checked with the clinic's receptionist before I rescheduled. How reliable is she, or is it a he?

I try a different tack: is she here to discuss logistics or to attend therapy? The latter. Then why don't we start. "Good idea" - she says. Her problem is that she is overloaded with assignments and can't get anything done despite putting in 80 hour weeks. Why doesn't she get help or delegate some of her workload? She can't trust anyone to do the job properly. Everyone nowadays is so indolent and morally lax.
<
