Should I keep a fan on during the summer?
Well, it’s blazing hot these days and some times at night it could get quite uncomfortable so what’s an asthma patient to do about that?
Well, we all know fans and air-conditioners may not be the safest thing for asthma patients so as not to clog up the chest cavities or cause chill-induced asthma attacks so I came up with these alternatives.
1. Take a cool bath.
2. If you do use a fan, point it away from your face and more towards the lower torso.
3. Still use a light blanket and keep the chest covered.
4. Crack the window to allow for fresh air circulation.
5. Try to eat light at night, fruits & veggies with little or no salt so as not to create unnatural thirst and believe it or not internal heat.
Remember for the last point, I had mentioned elsewhere in this blog that drinking water at night might not be the best idea so keep that in mind to avoid wheezing.
So, don’t let the blazing summer heats get you down eh?
To health.
