Acne: It can be devastating and embarrassing
Oh, yes it can.
Till this day, though I have clear skin, I still cringe if a bump seems like it’s about to form or if I see the slightest one erupting.
It’s safe to say that acne is a curse that plagues many people from children to adults.
Thankfully though, the good news is that acne can be minimized and even cured.
Now, to help with this, I have taken the liberty to seek some tips (besides mine of course) from some experts and forward them to you all.
Acne Treatment Tip #1: If you have acne then you may have oily skin or at least patches of oily skin. However, if your skin is too dry then it can actually cause more acne. Why does this occur? Well, dry skin produces dead skin flakes. These dead skin flakes combine with sebum in your pores. This combination is the main cause of plugged up pores thus leading to more pimples. Therefore, you need to find a good balance between oily and dry skin. So avoid regular soap as it will dry your skin out like the desert.
I personally recommend the use of Witch Hazel of even plain lemon juice as an astringent to help with a natural acne treatment regimen…and to not dry out the skin neither.
Acne Treatment Tip #2: Do not touch, pick, and scratch your face.
Believe it…parents know best; this is true.
This is not a good idea, especially when the pimple is simply red and has not formed a whitehead. You can’t properly get rid of the pimple yourself. You have to be patient and let the pimple work through its cycle without touching it. If you touch it, you will cause more acne to form and leave scars.
Acne Treatment Tip #3: Maintain healthy skin. Perhaps the best step here will be to watch your diet and personal hygiene measures.
All in all…ACNE CAN BE BEAT…you perhaps just need to know how that’s all…
Hence this blog.
