The Necessity of Hygiene For Acne Treatment
I had read somewhere that acne is not necessarily linked to how clean you are.
Well, I will be the first to say that being a recovered former acne patient...and trust me...I had it BAD!...and for someone who is still acne-prone on occasion, nothing could be further from the truth.
Perhaps, sensible cleanliness for acne treatment is what matters...
Think about it...if you use the same towel you use on you body 7 days a week to wipe your face, if you sleep on the same pillow case night after night, (without washing your hair) and if you are constantly touching the face with dirty hands, how do you expect any treatment for your acne to work...?
That said it is advised that as much as it's humanly possible, one should strive to incorporate sensible common sense tips for cleanliness such as changing one's pillowcases, using an exclusive towel for the face, shampooing the hair and of course eating healthily...(and avoiding the microwave) to ensure that whatever steps one is taking for acne control be successfully attained.
Feel free to look into this blog for more tips.
To Health...

hey,
i just read your article on healing acne naturally, and although it seems extreme, it makes sense. i had been eliminating chocolate and dairy products at the advice of my ethsetitian, therefore i had cut out most confectionaries for a while because i thought they all had milk....then i researched some ingredients and started asking about ingredients at restaurants, etc....and realized that not all sweets had milk in them, so i started eating some again, and my face got worse on and off. i am trying again to cut them out completely but it is hard! that is why i like your meal plan because it tells me plain and simple what to eat, not just suggests. i'm wondering if this is something that you follow daily for the rest of your life? like is ever okay to add in some breads and meat? or what about oatmeal? is any sugar detrimental other than that which occurs naturally in fruits and veggies? what about butter and mayo? i have sea salt i bought a while ago, but realized it is iodized... why is the un iodized salt better? you say nuts are good - but my fav nut is the cashew lol, and i read somewhere else that it was not a good nut to eat for acne prevention.... oh, and is aspartame as horrible as many people say?
