THURSDAY, May 31 (Bodyhealthsoul LLC News)
In a survey done by researchers from the University of North Carolina, it is now believed that there may be a strong association between depression in former National Football League players and the number of concussions they suffered while playing.
As reported in the New York Times, it was found that of the 595 players who reported sustaining three more football-related concussions, 20.2 percent had been diagnosed with depression.
Interested parties can look through the Journal of the American College of Sports Medicine for more findings.
Interestingly enough, the NFL has consistently denied that football-related concussion have any long-term effects.
