I guess when people see celebrities showing off their six pack abs, most people automatically go: "ooh, how can I get a six pack?".
Perhaps no muscle group shows off fitness and results of exercising like a set of defined abs, that's why a search for exercises for good abdominal muscles is pretty darn common on the internet.
Having fabulous abs is a dream for both men and women. They are also the most difficult to achieve, in part, because of how people are exercising them. Working only part of the abdominal section, poor breathing and improper form, lack of aerobics, and poor dieting are the leading road blocks to attaining fabulous abs.
That considered, in this posting, I aim to offer tips on abdominal exercises...good abdominal exercises, that is, in the hopes that you as a reader can learn a thing or two to get the six pack stomach you may have always wanted.
The Main Tips on Good Abdominal Exercises
Fabulous abs are within your reach. All it takes is desire and the right kind of hard work, which includes:
* exercising all areas of your abs,
* breathing through the exercise while executing it properly,
* adding aerobics to your workout program,
* and implementing a properly balanced diet program.
Let's go over a personal routine of exercises for good abdominal muscles that I implement.
1. 20-Unlimited reps (I do a personal 70+ reps in one shot in the mornings) of the Ab-wheel roll out from the knees.
Using the ab roller, start on the floor on all your hands and knees. Hold the ab roller in your hands while in this position. Slowly roll the ab roller foreward, stretching your body into a straight position. Go down as far as you can without touching the floor with your body. Pause and pull yourself back to the starting position. Repeat for the desired number of reps. Go slow and do not touch the ground!
2. 30 Crunches.
3. Bent-Knee Hip Raise
This is like the Reverse Crunch but with a longer range of motion. Outstretch your hands to your sides with your knees bent at a 60 degree angle and your feet just off the floor. Using your lower abs, roll your pelvis backward to raise your hips off of the floor. Your knees will be over your chest. Squeeze your abs and then return to the starting position slowly. You can straighten your legs to make it harder or wear ankle weights.
4. Aerobic Exercise for 20-30 Minutes. (Best choice for me is jogging)
Now, that we've covered the answer to "how can I get a six pack?" quite adequately, let's go over one more key factor in regards to exercises for good abdominal muscles...in the aim of being like the celebrities showing off their six pack abs that you may happen to admire so much.
But before I do that, let me stress one more factor that will help immensely with good abdominal exercises, the irony is you could also implement some that don't necessarily isolate the abs only!
Dig This, You could include such total upper body exercises like
1. The gorrilla chin/up
2. Pull Ups (they actually do work the abs some...)
3. Hindu Push Ups (Hey, speaking of celebrities showing off their six pack abs, do you know Usher does this?
4. Regular Push Ups.
Not only will you work the arms immensely with these but they actually are all also effective exercises for good abdominal muscles.
The Importance of A Proper Diet For Good Abdominal Muscles
Suffice it to say that not only for the sake of the efficiency of exercises for good looking abdominal muscles, BUT for overall health, a balanced and healthy diet is of a great necessity and is one of the tips on abdominal exercises that cannot be overlooked.
What do I personally recommend?
Hands down, it will be the mucusless diet.
This comprises of fruits, veggies and if desired occasional juice fasts.
To really see the cuts in the abs and get the benefits of good abdominal exercises such as the ones listed above, I'll have you know that a clean colon is one factor that you should aim for...but more on that later.
